The perils of love and marriage in a double love story with a surprising twist.
An escapee from a seemingly endless wedding takes refuge in a hotel bar. Hixon, a lonely stockbroker, has deep-seated fears of relationships. Bartender Jo, a recent runaway bride, wholeheartedly agrees. Over the course of one hilarious evening, these romance-challenged misfits forge a stalwart friendship that lures them sweetly back into the pathways of the heart. Their all-too-human plight captures our hearts and sweeps us laughing all the way to a happy ending.
HISTORY: Follow Suit was commissioned by Marble City Opera, Knoxville, and had its World Première there in March 2018 in a hotel bar. It has been performed twice.
